This is an animation I did using blender cycles and raypump!

More information on blenderartist.com if you want to read: blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?...mation-for-a-company!

Thanks to raypump I could render this with acceptable noise without having to wait for days!

It's a good one. But too many/fast camera movements (for my taste). Hope to see something new soon ;) Cheers.

@camomiles
I know the camera movements was too fast and confusing! Next project is going to be better!

Thank you melon! I guess I have you to thank for the render points? :)

Go ahead and share!

Hello. I think your animation looks great! There is just a few questions I would like to ask. Since I would struggle to render any animation on my own PC, finding RayPump has been a huge motivator. I am currently trying to find out how much rendering my animation would come to - Would you mind sharing some stats such as how much it cost, how many points, what resolution and samples, n.o of polys, time taken etc - It would be very useful to consider these for getting an idea of benchmark figures. If you have already posted the stats (I haven't seen any, but I am new to the forum) or don't want to share certain information I am very sorry, but I hope that you appreciate how valuable the information could be for my budgeting.

Hi WalesBlender! Thank you.

I can't remember exactly how much I spent because I didn't render everything at the same time, and I re-rendered some animations after a while. If I don't count my re-renderings I probably spent about 80-160 euros for the logo animation and the "tool" animation.
It's really hard to say how much it will cost before you do it.

I went a bit overkill with 30fps so I could probably have saved a few bucks if I had used 24.

Logo Animation:

1920x1080 @ 800 samples, 235 frames @ 30fps
Verts:350.000
Faces:320.000
Tris:630.000

Tool Animation:
(Objects)
1280x720 @ 800 samples, 876 frames@ 30fps
Verts:520.000
Faces:623.000
Tris:766.000

(Background w/shadows)
Same as objects but 600 samples

Thanks for the quick reply and great detail! This information will be very useful - It seems I should be able to afford to render out an animation :)

You're welcome!

Raypump really helped me with the animations. Couldn't really have done anything remotely as "good" as I did without it.
